Our Methods

Producing a website is like producing anything else. There is a series of stages or cycles to move through from start to finish. We at NXG are using a 5 stage process to deliver every project we work on.

• Design
• Coding
• Development
• Final Sign Off

 

Each stage will require a sign-off. We want to make sure everyone is satisfied and follows the update on every stage before moving to the next one.

 

Discussion - Stage 1

Whether creating a new site or redesigning an existing website, there are a few things that will be discussed such as;

 

Your goals/aims for the website – short and long term goals,

The features – contact forms, forums, photo galleries, shopping cart, etc.

Styles – the colors, fonts, themes, images, custom logos and branding, etc.

Content – whether you would like to use your content or let us help you with writing or editing it.

Hosting and Domain – if you need a domain or web hosting, we will include this in the package.

Maintenance – if you need help in updating contents, web maintenance and troubleshooting.

Promotion – do you want us to help you with your online advertising strategies?

 

When all this has been discussed, we will send you a quote. Once you are happy it, and the terms and conditions, you then ‘Sign Off’ and go straight to Stage 2.

 

Design - Stage 2

We will start with getting the images and contents from you. And if you do not have the images and contents we will gladly do it for you. The cost will be calculated using per hour basis or fixed quote.

 

Once everything is collected, we will start designing the website based on our discussions. We will show you mock up designs for you to choose. During this stage you are able to make as many changes as you wish until you are satisfied. And when you are, you then ‘Sign Off’ on the final design and we move forward to Stage 3.

 

Coding - Stage 3

Based on the Final mock up design from Stage 2, we will start coding your website using HTML and make it to a complete 1 or 2 page website. We will then test the webpage using different browsers.

Once it’s done we will then send you a test URL (hosted in our test server) for you to view, approve and ‘Sign Off’ Stage 3.

 

Development - Stage 4

In Stage 4, we will then create the rest of the pages and include your contents and images. We will also start developing the additional features that you have chosen. Once everything is tested and runs smoothly, we will give you the test URL for you to view, approve and ‘Sign Off’.

 

Final Sign Off - Stage 5

Once all the pages and features are completed and tested, you will be required to ‘Sign Off’ on the project. At this stage is where we will arrange your web hosting and domain name, then transfer the site to the new web hosting. Once it’s been transferred, we will then test the website for the last time. Once you ‘Sign Off’, you now have a brand new website.
